The Musee Conti Wax Museum follows the wild history of New Orleans in a peculiar way, by displaying its founders and celebrities such as Pete Fountain and Louis Armstrong as wax sculptures. The museum is located in the French Quarter, a few blocks west of Louis Armstrong Park. Venture into the Haunted Dungeon section of the museum and see the gruesome and grotesque wax portrayals of the literary characters of famed writers, such as Edgar Allan Poe and Victor Hugo.
