Built in 1807, the Old Absinthe House is named after its patron's previous penchant for the bright green, hallucinogenic alcohol that is no longer legal. The historic bar is located in the French Quarter, a few blocks up from Riverfront Park. Today the Olde Absinthe House is one of the city's most popular bars, offering an extensive selection of liquor and original cocktails, like the celebrated Absinthe House Frappe and the Ramos Gin Fuzz.
