Jackson Barracks is a military museum that features artifacts and exhibits from every major war, including the national military and also the Lousiana National Guard militia. The museum is located in the Arabi area, just northwest of Chalmette National Historic Park. Visitors can view the actual living conditions of World War One trench soldiers, wander through the Powder Magazine prison cells, or view the seven aircraft in the outdoor airpark.
