Founded in 1951, the Academy is the professional organization for dentists specializing in implant dentistry (implantology). The Academy holds annual meetings for members, publishes an academic bi-montly, promotes and supports research projects (including financial support), and informs the public of the advantages of implant dentistry when performed under strict, ethical standards imposed by the Academy on its member dentists. The AAID Exhibition provides dental and allied dental professionals the most current information on products and services related to dental health care. The purpose of the exhibits is to complement the program sessions by providing an opportunity for display and/or demonstration of products and services.
